When the story begins, Nick Scryer has no memory of who he is, his mind having been wiped in order to infiltrate a terrorist organization known as The Movement. As he progresses, he regains his PSI powers. However, he is captured and must fight his way out with the help of Sara, a double agent. In the game, the player is Nick Scryer, a "PSI-Operative" whose mind has been wiped to allow him to infiltrate a terrorist organization. Subdued, rendered unconscious and shipped back to the Movement's secret labs, these men and women wake to find themselves in a nightmarish series of experiments meant to condition and brainwash them. The ranks of the Movement's army are swelled by captives that are taken from terrorist actions around the globe. They can be programmed to be immune to pain, to lay down their lives without question, or to kill with no remorse. Mind controlled and unquestioning, these "super soldiers" overcome their enemies by shear number, force and terror. The Minions: Meat Puppets The Movement uses brainwashed humans as their nameless, numberless minions.
